NOTICE TO INTERESTED PARTIES
CANCELLATION OF MARCH 18,2020 THROUGH APRIL 13, 2020
SHERIFF'S SALE IN LIGHT OF PROCLAMATION NUMBER JBE 2020-30

Governor Edwards has issued Proclamation JBE 2020-30, the proclamation postpones all
legal proceedings, including administrative legal deadlines, which include provisions for public
sale of property and are hereby suspended until at least Monday, April 13, 2020.

Because Proclamation JBE 2020-30 suspends the provisions of civil procedures used in
judicial proceedings in general, this would include the provisions concerning execution of writs
pertaining to property and sheriff sales found in the Code of Civil Procedure, Title 9 (Civil Code
Ancillaries) and Title 13 (Courts and Judicial Procedure). The Louisiana Sheriff's Association's
attorneys interpret this to mean that judicial sales in execution of writs and commissions to sell
that are scheduled to be conducted by our office during the declared public health emergency
may be suspended until at least April 13, 2020.

All real estate sales will be postponed to the next available sale date, May 20, 2020.

All movables will be postponed to April 29, 2020.

We will continue to monitor the situation and update you accordingly. We appreciate your
understanding and thank you for your cooperation.
